Catching Up at All Things Meetings

There’s something refreshing about events like All Things Meetings.

Not because they’re overly formal or packed with presentations, but because they create rare opportunities to slow down and reconnect with people you haven’t seen in a while.

That’s honestly one of my favorite parts of attending.

Over the years, you naturally build relationships in this industry, planners, venues, creatives, production teams, marketing people, and companies you cross paths with over and over again. Events like ATM bring all of those worlds back into the same room for a day.

Some conversations pick up exactly where they left off years ago.

Others turn into completely new connections you didn’t expect walking in.

And in a business that revolves around events, experiences, and people, that kind of interaction still matters a lot.

One thing I also appreciate about ATM is how naturally conversations happen. It never feels overly forced. You end up talking about upcoming projects, industry changes, ideas people are experimenting with, or sometimes completely unrelated things outside of work.

That’s usually where the best connections happen anyway.

We recently put together a short promo video from the event that captures some of the overall atmosphere and energy throughout the day.

Events like this are also a reminder of how quickly everything moves while you’re there. There’s always another conversation happening somewhere else, another interaction you didn’t personally witness, another moment unfolding across the room.

That’s part of why documenting these kinds of gatherings matters. Good event coverage helps preserve not just what happened, but what the event actually felt like to be part of.
